SUMMARY:Eliminating Multiple Nerve Compression Patterns
DESCRIPTION:June 13-14\, 20269 am-6 pm Both Days!   \n\n\n\nTables are provided. 16 CE (NCBTMB Approved)- Price $399.00: https://orthomassage.net/products/eliminating-multiple-nerve-compression-patterns-combination-peoria-arizona-june-13-14Contact:  Allison  800-643-5543Allison@orthomassage.net \n\n\n\nManual Therapy to Eliminate Multiple Nerve Compression Patternsof the Upper and Lower BodyState-of-the-art anatomy and nerve graphics will enable manual therapists to visualize the inner workings of the human body. Starting with the brain and spinal cord\, therapists will use positional release and soft tissue balancing protocols to address OA & C1-C2 fixations\, cervical kyphosis (also known as “military neck”)\, spinal stenosis patterns\, stuck facet joints\, and treat sprains and strains throughout the body. Nerve tests include: the Spurling Test: spinal nerve compression; Eden’s Test: costo-clavicular syndrome; Adson’s Test: scalene and first rib involvement; Wright Abduction Test: pectoralis minor involvement; Tests to identify Cubital Tunnel and Guyon’s Canal (ulnar tunnel) conditions; Pronator Teres Test: median nerve entrapment; and Tests for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.  Complicated shoulder capsular adhesions will also be addressed. For the Lower Body\, The Supine to sit test will evaluate for functional versus anatomical leg length discrepancies. Pelvic stabilization will be used to address sacral torsion patterns\, iliosacral upslips\, joint capsular patterns\, femoral nerve compression\, and normal muscle firing patterns. Therapists will level the sacral base and release the Sacrotuberous ligament for sciatic nerve pain. The Straight Leg Test will identify L5/ SI bulges or herniated discs. The Slump Test will identify hamstring strains that scar down the Sciatic Nerve. Tibial Torsions and Fixated Fibular Head Conditions will be corrected by releasing the biceps femoris muscle to address the Tibial and Fibular Nerve Entrapments. Manual therapists will also evaluate and release the Tarasal Tunnel and Morton’s Neuroma. Home care retraining will include spinal decompression\, along with nerve glides and nerve tensioning protocol \n\n\n\n\n\n\nHotel & Travel Discounts

SUMMARY:Understanding & Transforming Chronic Pain by Arnold Askew
DESCRIPTION:Retraining Neural-Circuits & Neuromuscular Habits14 CE Hours + Approved by NCBTMB \n\n\n\nUnderstanding & Transforming Chronic Pain: \n\n\n\nAn In-depth Introduction to the Theory and Techniques of Somatic Therapy \n\n\n\nThis class will review the latest neuroscience the brain plays in the perception and persistence of pain. This knowledge will quickly help us see the difference between “neuroplastic” and structurally caused pain. Understanding this is essential for consistent and successful treatment. First\, we’ll review techniques to address the neuro-circuitry linked to chronic pain. Then we’ll use somatic education to change inefficient patterns of dysfunction. Therapeutically we’ll use “awareness-based touch and movement” to awaken proprioceptive centers and stimulate healthier neurological activity. A variety of injuries\, pathologies and conditions will be discussed to make the information relevant for actual practice. \n\n\n\nThough all of this may sound overwhelming\, it comes together with simple techniques that are easy to apply and are gentle on the therapist. The work is relationship-based\, so we will look at how to bring our clients into a healthier relationship with their own healing. And this process starts with us. We will use basic developmental movements to start our own process of self-exploration.    With this “self-knowledge” our goal will be to help our clients become more autonomous and involved in whatever conditions may be a part of their lives. \n\n\n\nPlease wear clothing that allows unrestricted movement\, and bring a mat or blanket for movement explorations on the floor. \n\n\n\n$350 Somatic Therapy and CE Courses by Arnold Askew \n\n\n\nClass objectives: \n\n\n\n1) Develop an understanding of the causes and currentapproach for the treatment of chronic pain. Specifically\, review the recentresearch into pain caused by neuroplastic changes and/or somatic deficiencies. \n\n\n\n2) Develop strategies to effectively treat such conditions. Focus to be ondeveloping awareness-based touch and movement to awaken proprioceptivecenters and stimulate new neurological activity. \n\n\n\n3) Learn to integrate newtheories and techniques into current massage or other practices. \n\n\n\nClass Participants comments and feedback \n\n\n\n“I really enjoyed Arnold’s method of teaching\, great sense of humor\, very intuitive\, would takehis class anytime” D. Anson“The course was so helpful to push me into a deeper understanding of how I\, as a practitioner\,can facilitate healing efficiency\, awareness\, and better movement in my clients. Being able toexperience and feel the profound changes with subtle work will add much more dimension to mywork as a Rolfer.” P. Reaves“Really excited about this information\, wish general public could be educated about this.” V.Cook“Thank you for your wonderful presentation. I appreciated your willingness to “tell it like it is”\,even if it may not fit so clearly into the traditional confines of our field. I feel like you have a wellthought out\, clearly articulated and focused workshop. And I have both something I can takewith me and apply now and a path for continuing my inquiry.” T. Wilson“Before I met Arnold I was in constant pain. He showed me how to understand the patterns I hadgotten into. I am very grateful to him\, first because the pain never came back\, and secondbecause he taught me how to care for myself.” N Feige\, Teacher\, Mother \n\n\n\nParticipant Reviews of 2024 AMTA National Convention Presentation·       Loved the class.
