SEMINAR PROGRAM

Day 1. Medical Massage Protocol for Rotator Cuff Syndrome/Frozen Shoulder Injury or tension within rotator cuff muscles or Rotator Cuff Syndrome (RCS) is a leading cause of Adhesive Capsulitis, also known as Frozen Shoulder (FS). Rehabilitation of the full-blown FS is a very complex and lengthy process, and very frequently, the patients end up with very controversial surgeries. That is why correct management of RCS is a vital therapy that prevents debilitating complications. During the class, we discuss the complex anatomy and physiology of the shoulder joint, step-by-step evaluation of each component of the rotator cuff mechanism, and examination of humeral-scapular rhythm. Finally, in the hands-on part of the class, we will discuss the Medical Massage Protocol for the treatment of Rotator Cuff Syndrome.

Day 2. Medical Massage Protocol for Chronic Tension Headache and Migraine This class takes students through all the aspects of Chronic Tension Headache and Migraines, from clinical evaluation of soft tissues, local pathology to step-by-step treatment using Medical Massage Protocol. This Medical Massage protocol is recognized and currently used in several hospitals, including world-respected clinical and scientific institutions like the Barrow Neurological Institute. Several of our students have built their entire practice around the clinical effectiveness of Medical Massage Protocols for Chronic Headaches.

Day 3. Medical Massage Protocols for Piriformis Muscle Syndrome. Sciatica The topic of the class is Piriformis Muscle, a.k.a. ‘Key to The Lower Extremity’. We will cover anatomy, physiology, pathology, and examination of the major causes of the tension in the piriformis muscle and its strategic relations with the Sciatic Nerve. Next, we will discuss the detailed evaluation of the soft tissues in the gluteal area on a layer-by-layer basis. Finally, we will cover step-by-step Medical Massage Protocol to decompress skin, fascia, lower back muscles, and periosteum in the lower back and gluteal area. Separately we will discuss decompression of sciatic nerve.
